Legs and conecting it all together

Made the legs today, they are provided from another layout of mine. I make some adapterplates on top so the legs will fit these modules:

The widest set for the middle. It will provide stability for the whole set of 4:

Measuring the adapterplate:

Went inside in the living room for a flat bottom:

Mounting the first set in the middle:

Provide strength between the 2 sets:

And the first part of 2 is on its own legs now:

And after some hard work the rest is also ready and mounted:

Extra strenghth on the left side:

Dis some re-planning and fitting. Drawbridge will be on the second module so that I have room on the left for the long wooden trestle, a key focus point of the area I'm modelling:

Back of the modules:

Finished the corners with this wooden profile:

After tearing down all you end up with this. it is also the starting point when setting this set of four up on its feet:

And the whole set:

Mounting the 4 modules

Then it is time to couple the modules. Setting them up:

Measuring, drilling and mounting with 6 mm bolts on the underside:

Backside:

Behind the top valance:

Me, hard at work. Photo made by my wife:

And all 4 together:

Of the newest module there still is a highth difference in the top valance:

Corrected that with the circular saw:

Building a 4th module

The material for the module:

My outside workshop next to my house:

Making the U's:

On the base module, it came with the 2 corner modules:

Gluing and spiking the U's to the module:

And ready:

To low, it still needs another layer on the module floor:

With valance and without background:

Gluing the back for the background:

My tool to hit the spikes in the correct spot:

And ready:

Al four modules, loose next to eachother:

And a photo from above:

Some electronics

Made the microswitch in the middle pier today. It stops the bridge in its opened position.

The parts:

The assembly:

Mounted:

And wired:

Works like a charm!

Mistake

Oh well, sometimes things go wrong.... made a small mistake with the middle module. The top valance had to be 1 cm higher on the carriers. Will modify that:

Later!
