We are just back from our 1-month America vacation. During that btime we travelled for a part of the trip through the Northwest. After that I decided to change the theme to this side and took a piece of the Coos Bay branch of the former Southern Pacific Siskiyou Line.
This branch has 3 special bridge constructions. All 3 do have a swing bridge in it. I will build the one shown becuase I can compress this fairly easy into a layout the size I want.
The layout will be build with modules already present here. The round layout will not be build, it is too complicated. Instead it will be a straight forward runaround layout with long staging.
For that I bought from a friend 2 modules build to my own concept from my earlier exhibition layouts:
To that I build me a 3rd module that will fit in between these two. Total length will be 2,95 meters enclosed. The parts:
